The NHS Digital Clinical Informatics Congress is a key event for frontline clinical leaders with an interest in health informatics to meet, network and learn about the latest developments around clinical informatics.

This timely seminar will bring out latest thinking on the way forward for using Big Data in healthcare.

It comes with the Prime Minister highlighting the opportunities provided by Big Data and artificial intelligence to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases – and as the new Secretary of State for Health and Social Care pledges more than £400 million to transform technology in the NHS.

Delegates will look at concerns surrounding the increasing use of patient data and what measures can be taken to ensure public confidence in the handling of data, which are being examined in the Science and Technology Select Committee’s inquiry into algorithms in decision making – as well as the introduction of new legislation such as EU GDPR and the Data Protection Act.
